Tips and Ideas on what to do with a Picture CD |
Because I provide most of my photography on CD's, here are some ideas on what I typically do with the pictures. 1. You can view the images right off the CD, but you should also copy them into a folder on your computer for safe keeping. I would put each CD's pictures in a separate folder for organization purposes. Or mulitple folders, by contestant, or event date, for instance. 2. I typically do only 3 things with an image: Crop, and usually, Auto Correct "Levels". I also usually Lighten Shadows by about 20%. 3. There's not much to be done with a blurry or out of focus picture, other than to say, "Wow, that would have been a good one!" I try to delete the most obvious bad ones prior to sending out the CD, but, sometimes they slip through. 4. Take the CD to the drugstore or Motophoto and get prints. Remember to Crop! 5. Use the photo program on your computer to save as an email or web sized image. Email images to friends. 6. With Adobe Elements and Premiere Elements (and similar programs) you can make a web show, or a DVD of the photos set to music. It takes some time to get the hang of it but that's one my favorite ways to show off my family's pictures to family and friends. If you'd like me to tackle something like this for you, let me know. They come out great! Also, let me know if I can provide help or advice, or if you need a favorite picture adjusted. Thanks, and I hope your family enjoys the pictures for a long time. Todd Johnson |
